Soursop Leaf (Annona muricata) comes from the tropical evergreen soursop tree, a species native to the tropical Americas and now cultivated throughout many warm regions of the world. The leaves have a long history of use in traditional herbal preparations and are commonly enjoyed as a naturally caffeine-free herbal infusion.

Flavour & Aroma

Soursop Leaf has a mild herbaceous aroma with soft green and earthy notes. When infused, it produces a smooth and gentle cup with a clean botanical character and very little bitterness.

Its subtle flavour makes it suitable for enjoying on its own or combining with complementary herbs such as lemongrass, ginger, peppermint or hibiscus.

Traditional Herbal Use

Soursop leaves have a long history of traditional use in tropical regions where the Annona muricata tree is grown. The leaves have commonly been prepared as herbal infusions and continue to be used by herbalists and tea makers as part of traditional botanical preparations.

Preparation

Add 1–2 teaspoons of dried Soursop Leaf per cup (250 mL) of freshly boiled water. Cover and steep for 5–10 minutes, then strain before serving.
